Fresh Thyme Herbal Tea (Aromatic Thyme Wellness Infusion)

Fresh thyme has been treasured for centuries as a flavorful culinary herb and traditional home remedy. Rich in antioxidants and naturally aromatic compounds such as thymol, thyme makes a soothing herbal tea that many people enjoy during cold weather or as a calming daily beverage. While thyme can be part of a healthy diet, it is not scientifically proven to cure or destroy parasites, urinary tract infections, herpes, arthritis, sciatica, or other diseases. Ingredients

  • 1 large handful (10–12 fresh sprigs) of fresh thyme
  • 2 cups (500 ml) water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 small slice of fresh ginger (optional)
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh thyme thoroughly under cool running water to remove any dirt.
  2. Bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
  3. Add the thyme sprigs and, if desired, the fresh ginger.
  4. Reduce the heat and let the herbs simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  5. Remove from the heat and allow the tea to steep for another 5–10 minutes for a stronger flavor.
  6. Strain the tea into your favorite mug.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and honey if desired.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy.
